Founded by Carol & Ron Pike (Caroona Birmans) in order to promote and protect the Seal and Blue Point Birmans who were the founder colours of the breed.
Created in 1999 it has flourished with membership growing year over year, now being the second largest Birman Cat Club in the UK, and one of the fastest growing memberships of any breed club in the UK.
We have obtained affiliation to the Governing Council of the Cat Fancy (GCCF) and have actively forged close links to other Birman Cat Clubs via affiliation. The officers and committee are passionate about the breed and its foundation colours and are available to offer support and advice regarding the breeding and welfare of cats.
We welcome members from across the globe, either as breeders, exhibitors or pet owners and offer help and advise in order to encourage a greater interest in the breed and specifically the seal and blue points.
The club produces a 70+ page magazine twice a year (free to members), holds various social functions around the country, has a wide range of Birman merchandise available for purchase at various shows in the UK throughout the year or mail order.
